2K Central PA Residents Without Power As Fallen Trees Cause Outage: Police

Fallen trees have left nearly two thousand Central Pennsylvania residents without power, police announced on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 1.

The outage was reported around 1 p.m. 

The fallen trees are in the 300 block of Swatara Street in Steelton, according to the police. 

"Residents and businesses are experiencing a power outage," the police said. 

Students are also being dismissed early due to the outage, according to the district. 

The PPL outage map shows crews are on the scene trying to remove the limbs from the lines and restore power. 

The estimated time of restoration is 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1.
